Artist in Residence at the Budapest Art Factory, Research Continues in Patterns, Tilings.

Researching tile and pattern configurations, particularly focusing on the architecture of Hungary and roof tiles, generates artistic insight into how traditional craftsmanship intersects with geometric aesthetics. Hungary’s unique architectural heritage showcases intricate tile work, especially on rooftops, where colorful ceramic tiles create distinct patterns that serve both functional and decorative purposes. Exploring these configurations allows for a deeper understanding of cultural symbolism, local materials, and the structural design choices that influence roof architecture, contributing to open discussions of vernacular design.

Budapest Art Factory (BAF) - founded in 2006, is a not-for-profit, contemporary studio, exhibition, and project space. In addition to organizing exhibitions, studio visits, and panel discussions, BAF runs an international artist and curator residency program with the aim of establishing a platform for the dialogue of contemporary art. During the residency, organic connections are forged with the network of local art professionals and internationally acclaimed artists invited to collaborate on a short-term basis.
